Portrait
This is my portrait of Malcolm X. I wanted to do a portrait of him because he is someone i look to as a role model in my life, He was a man that had a troubled life and turned it around for the greater good. Gave up the party life style for the life of a civil rights advocate. He was extreme in his preachings at times but he always fought for what he felt was the right thing and that aways meant equality. I feel like he is someone who doesn't get enough credit for what he did during his time.

Painting
Our assignment this week was to recreate a famous painting and i chose to recreate the "Royal Red and Blue" by Mark Rothko i chose this painting because of its simplicity but what i found very interesting is that this painting sold for $75.1 million in 2012. I think its really weird how art can just be worth so much but then when people are going to college to study art the common remark is "so you don't wanna make money?" or something around those lines. I guess it just maters who you are.

This projects i enjoyed it took me away from my political stuff and really just let me do me and this is a weird circle thing but i like it i mean theres nothing better then expressing yourself through different ways. this i feel really represents me because like im a real outgoing person with alot to say and everything but once you get to know me like on the inside of the circle i make you think.
